Booking

Over the years, Launder-A-Pet and Cavorting K9s Retreat have been able to work together to make kenneling your dog more convenient for you and more comfortable for your pooch.

Below are some of the basic guidelines we must ask all of the kennel customers to follow so that together, Launder-A-Pet and Cavorting K9s Retreat can continue to provide the canines in your family a fun and safe place to holiday.

BOOKING LINE: 403-266-1400

This number is ONLY for booking the date of your dog's stay.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Retreat are answered on the kennel website (www.cavortingk9s.com) or by e-mailing CavortingK9sRetreat@telus.net for more information.

  • Please make ALL bookings through the above ‘booking line number’.

  • There is no need to call long distance out to the kennel to confirm your stay or to call Launder-A-Pet to confirm your dogs bath. This is a one stop number that will be happy to make all of the necessary arrangements.

  • The booking line is not always monitored. Please make sure to leave a message as calling repeatedly will not get your booking arrangements taken care of any faster.

Allow AT LEAST 24 hours for any booking, change of booking or cancellation of booking.

PICKING UP AND DROPPING OFF YOUR DOG

455-42nd Avenue SE, Calgary, AB
2:00 PM – Weekdays ONLY
(excluding holidays)

Launder-A-Pet provides an in-city pick and drop off location for the kennel so that you, the customer, do not have to travel up to 3 hours (round trip) out to the Retreat.

DROP OFF

  • All kennel dogs must be signed in to Launder-A-Pet by their owners prior to 2 pm so that delays do not occur. Please avoid showing your dog you are stressed about leaving them – the more nervous you act, the more nervous your dog will behave.

  • For dogs dropped off prior to noon, there will be a ½ day of daycare charged.

  • For dogs dropped off between noon and 2pm, there will be no additional charges for properly "bathroomed" dogs. Any messes left behind by these dogs may result in extra charges.

  • Please make sure that all food, beds, toys etc. that are being sent out to kennel with your dog are clearly labeled.

PICK UP

  • Dogs return to Launder-A- Pet at 2pm. Time may vary with traffic and weather.

  • All dogs must be picked up by their owners and paid for in full by 6pm. If someone other than the owner will be picking up the dog, Launder-A-Pet must be notified prior to the dog's return to the daycare and charges must still be paid in full prior to leaving the premises.

  • If you would like for the staff at Launder-A-Pet to bathe your dog on its return, please allow at least 2 hours from their arrival. If you arrive prior to 4pm, and your dog is not done, staff will stop working on your dog as the distraction can make the process difficult to complete and may pose a risk to both dog and staff. Full bath prices will be charged.

  • Please, do not forget to take your dog's food, beds, toys etc. that have been returned from the kennel. Any ‘luggage’ not claimed 7 days after being returned will be considered a donation to Herding Dog Rescue.

PAYMENT

We would like to remind all of our customers that Launder-A-Pet and Cavorting K9s Retreat are SEPARATE BUSINESSES.

1. Please remember that nightly kennel fees are to be paid to the Retreat.
The kennel accepts:

  • Cash

  • Debit (only available at the daycare)

  • Cheques (personal or credit card cheques), made payable to : Cindy Swiney

2. Bathing and daycare fees are to be paid to Launder-A-Pet.
Acceptable forms of payment to Launder-A-Pet are:

  • Cash

  • Debit

  • Cheques

  • Visa or MasterCard

The guidelines mentioned above are NOT new. As time has gone by certain rules have taken a back seat but with business picking up, it is necessary that we all get back to the basics to avoid any misunderstandings.

If you have any questions that have not been properly answered please feel free to check out the kennel's website at www.cavortingk9s.com. If you still have unanswered questions, please do not hesitate to email the kennel directly via the link on the website.
